Privacy Policy

Version 2026-10-20 · Effective on publication

This notice explains how Africa Jobs, operated by Olamide Olatayo Bello, handles information in the current application. Privacy contact: dobcalldemo@gmail.com. Organization administrators also control how they collect and use information for their own work programs.

1. Information we collect

The current application does not collect payment-card or bank-account details, continuously track GPS location, or perform background screening. A work-order check-in records an action and time, not a verified physical location.

2. Why information is used

We use information to create accounts, provide authorized organization access, coordinate work, communicate within work orders, maintain payable records, respond to support requests and protect the service. Where data-protection law requires a lawful basis, processing is based as applicable on performing agreements, legitimate operational and security interests, legal obligations, or consent for a specific optional use. You may contact us about the basis for a particular use.

3. Access and disclosure

Organization administrators and authorized work participants can access information relevant to their roles. Provider profile information is available to authorized buyers in the same organization; work orders marked published are visible to eligible members of that organization. Platform administrators can access organization data for service administration. Uploaded work files and messages should be treated as shared work records, not private storage.

Hosting, infrastructure and support providers may process information as necessary to run the service. Information may also be disclosed when legally required, to protect rights or security, or during a lawful business transfer with appropriate notice and safeguards. The current application contains no advertising trackers and does not implement sale of personal information or cross-context advertising. External links operate under their own notices.

4. Cookies

The africajobs cookie is necessary for authentication. It is HttpOnly, uses SameSite=Strict and is marked Secure in the HTTPS deployment configuration. Sessions expire after approximately 12 hours or can be ended by signing out. Blocking the cookie prevents authenticated use. No optional analytics or advertising cookies are included in the current application.

5. Storage, security and retention

Application records and uploads are stored in the application database on the hosting server. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. Access controls, session checks and HTTPS deployment support data protection, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Do not send passwords or sensitive documents by ordinary support email.

Records are retained while needed for account operations, work history, security, disputes and applicable legal requirements. The current release does not automatically delete all records on a fixed schedule. Closure and deletion requests are reviewed manually; financial or dispute evidence may need to be retained, and backup copies may persist until their normal replacement. We will explain applicable retention limitations when responding to a request.

6. Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile and contact us to request access, correction, export, account closure or deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent or complaint to a relevant data-protection authority. Requests are assessed under applicable law, and we may verify identity using proportionate means. Contact us by email; do not send government identification unless a secure process is arranged. You may also contact your organization about records it controls.

7. International access and children

Use from another country may involve processing outside your country. Contact us for current hosting-location and transfer information; location-specific safeguards must be assessed before regulated transfers. Africa Jobs is intended for adults aged 18 or older. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

8. Updates

We will update this notice when data practices change and provide additional notice when required. The version below describes the current application; new payment, screening, analytics or other integrations require updated disclosures before activation. Privacy requests: dobcalldemo@gmail.com.
